Career Center - Campus job resources for all students, alumni, postdocs, faculty, and staff

QB3-Berkeley Graduate and Postdoc Career Development - The QB3-Berkeley Graduate and Postdoc Career Development office was launched in early fall 2018 to strengthen professional development support for graduate students and postdoctoral researchers in the biological sciences at Berkeley. Through online resources, workshops and speaker programs, as well as other initiatives, the office will help trainees explore career options that utilize their scientific training and develop the foundational skills required for effective career planning and transitions to post-graduate careers.

Individual Development Plan (IDP)  - An IDP is a private, dynamic, annual self-evaluation and career exploration tool for graduate students and postdocs.  Amongst its objectives are to help trainees in their career planning and skill development, outside of their academic progress in research.  The IDP is most meaningful if trainees (with support from their mentors) make full use of the IDP's potential to guide self-reflection and action steps towards professional goals, and update their IDP annually to reflect accomplishments and changes in career and research objectives.
