Kathryn (Kasie) Wong
Kuriyan Lab, MCB-CDB Senior, 2017
Senior Honors Thesis: Expression and purification of full-length bRafs
Professor Kuriyan has great things to say about Kasie Wong. "Kasie has been in my lab since she was a freshman, and has worked diligently on a variety of projects so deeply that she is like “permanent” and rare reference point for work in the lab. She contributed tremendously to establish a protocol to generate a very important oncogenic kinase protein that had been difficult to make. Her level of independence in research and curiosity about science are both remarkable.”
Wong says, "Being a member of the Kuriyan Lab has been an integral part of my college experience. I am very fortunate to have worked with multiple amazing mentors here, who have taught me how to do good research and have fun while doing it!"
